Who we are and what we do...

The Doctor's Medical Centers (DMC), headquartered in Miami, Florida, is a leading primary care provider company that offers an innovative and integrated approach to primary care to their patients. With 10 health centers, more than 250 employees including more than 30 physicians, and more than 120, 000 outpatient visits a year; we are committed to improve the health and well-being of our patients, our employees, and the communities we serve. Our mission is to help people live healthier lives through health promotion, disease prevention, and integrated patient-centered primary care.

Primary Care Model

The DMC's primary care model is based on the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model that provides first contact, continuous, comprehensive, whole person care for patients across the DMC's health centers. PCMH has at its foundation the Joint Principles developed by the primary care medical societies (American College of Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Osteopathic Association): whole-person care; personal clinician provides first contact, continuous, comprehensive care; care is coordinated or integrated across the health care system; team-based care. By embracing the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model, we join forces with other similar primary care organizations across the nation to improve patient experience, care, and health outcomes.

Business Model

The DMC's business model provides practice management and administrative support services to the medical centers owned and operated by the company. Among the competitive advantages of this business model are:

Relieves physicians of non-medical business functions so that they can concentrate on the clinical aspects of their practice.

Achieves economies of scale by purchasing services as a group instead of individually. These cost savings advantage are use when negotiating discounted equipment leasing, shared staffing and benefits, electronic billing and EHR.

Allows us to operate as a “group practice without walls”, including clinical guidelines and care standards for the practices to support clinical integration and a network of service providers to cover all aspects of the patient's care.

We can provide complete Management Service Organization (MSO) services to other healthcare organizations and their respective physician stakeholders. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
