From an early age, I was inclined towards Medicine. I felt a vocation to relieve the pain to close relatives and friends. I did not hesitate to choose this career when I finished my pre-university studies. I began my medical career at the Universidad de la Habana in 1970 obtaining my degree in Doctor of Medicine in 1976. From there, I did my residency in General Surgery at Higher Institute of Medical Sciences. I worked as a Board Certified Surgeon for many years until I immigrated to the United States in 1994. I continued studying and working in the health field until I passed the Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE) in 1997. After a period of training and supervision, I obtained my License as a Medical Doctor pursuant Florida Statues 458.3134 of the Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance. I have rendered my medical services to this community for the last nineteen years with the same love and dedication with which began to exercise my profession.
