I am an Internal Medicine Physician with passion for improving the quality of life of our community. My goal is to help improve the lives of the patients we serve, one patient at a time.
My initial interest in medicine stemmed from a friend who was a medical student while I was in high school. Additionally, my fascination with biological sciences inspired me to pursue medicine as a career. My passion for helping under served populations is the driving force in doing what I love every day. I graduated from the Universidad de la Habana in 1996. I worked as a family medicine physician for three years before immigrating to the USA in 1999. I passed the boards of medicine in 2002 and completed an Internal Medicine training for three years at Jamaica Hospital Residency program in Queens, New York in 2006. I was honored with the “Nurse’s first Choice” award, given to the medical resident that contributed the most to patient care. I became Board certified in Internal Medicine in August 2006 and have been practicing medicine since then in South Florida. In 2016 I passed the re-certification exam by the ABIM (American board of Internal Medicine) in 2016.
As the Chief Medical officer of the company I am responsible for the coordination of the medical services we provide. My responsibilities involve working closely with the management as well as the clinical teams. It is a very rewarding experience to be able to contribute to the daily efforts of the physicians and the rest of the staff in the implementation of measures that will positively impact the quality of the medical care we provide to our patients.
